MOT SONG OP DE MELODIE VAN 'THE LAST FAREWELL' ~ Roger Whittaker.
There's an island, I could be there in a hour,
But she seems to drift away from me,
Seems like there is no deal, there is no power,
To reach the other end of the North Sea,
I know I must accept you may be leaving,
Though my heart is full of tears at this farewell.
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly,
More dearly than the spoken word can tell,
For you are beautifull, I have loved you dearly,
More dearly than the spoken word can tell,
Oh if there is a shred of doubt inside you
Why don't you reconsider your nay,
We're here an always will behind you,
For loger than Theresa ever may,
With or without the EU I still see you,
As my love, to lose you hurts like hell,
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly,
More dearly than the spoken word can tell,
For you are beautifull, I have loved you dearly,
More dearly than the spoken word can tell,
I know I have no voice or referendum,
To tell you to remain or go away,
But these songs of love,
I don't know how to end 'em,
If not by simply asking you to stay,
Some might say I 'am better of without you,
But I 've know you for so long and sowell,
And I think you're beautifull.
and I a have loved you dearly,
more dearly than the spoken word can tell,
And I think you're beautifull,
and I a have loved you dearly,
more dearly than the spoken word can tell.
