Dear Morris Minor Club friends, also outside The Netherlands,
We recently announced that we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of our Morris Minor Club Netherlands on September 6th, 7th and 8th 2024, at Camping Betuwestrand Recreatie in Beesd (Gld.)
Most of our activities will be on and around the centrally located sports field. Tents, caravans, Morris Minors and campers can be set up there. Our meeting tent will also be located on this field.
Please note: no dogs are allowed on the sports field and around the recreational lake!
There are camping pitches near the sports field where dogs are allowed, as well as in the rental caravans, family chalets and villa tents reserved for our club. There are several dog walking areas.
Activities:
In general the weekend will look like this:
- Friday September 6th from 2 p.m.: arrival
In the evening you can have a simple meal together (there will be a food truck on-site, serving chips etc.)
-Saturday September 7th: Historical run Beesd-Vianen-Gorinchem-Beesd. This is a historical run because the Vianen-Gorinchem was the first run when our club was founded in 1974. On Saturday we are going to recreate this run as closely as possible.
A BBQ buffet is planned in the evening.
-Sunday September 8th: After a special morning activity, we’ll say our goodbyes and most will return home.
If you wish you can stay an extra night until Monday, September 9th. This is without extra cost for your accommodation.
In addition to our own members, we will also receive our Morris friends from surrounding countries.
Pre-registration:
You can show your intention to attend by pre-registering via: jubileum@morrisminorclub.nl.
This will give us some insight into participant numbers and eventual size of the event. There are no financial obligations connected to pre-registration.
Final registration will be via the website. Registration is currently not yet open. The actual cost of this weekend will be announced soon.
Accommodations at Camping Betuwestrand
You can camp using your own camping equipment on the central field.
For heavier camper vehicles(3500kg +) there is a paved parking lot opposite.
Water and and electrical facilities are available on the field.
Camping pitches for a tent or camper costs €27 per night. This includes. electricity and water based on 2 people.
Rental accommodations for three nights (with set of bed linen) :
-4 persons caravan rental (1x double bed + bunk bed for 2 children) at €232
-6 persons family chalet rental (1x double bed + bunk beds for 4 children) at €252
-6 persons villa tent rental (1x double bed + 1 x bunk bed 2 adults and 1 x bunk bed for 2 children), kitchen, refrigerator, private bathroom; at €275
These accommodations are at a special rate for us and are fixed price until March 1, 2024

Please note: when you use the booking system via the Betuwestrand website, you will be confronted with different (higher) prices. This also applies if you book after March 1.
You are of course free to book other accommodation in the area.
