50th Anniversary 2024

Dear Morris Minor friends,

This week our 50th Anniversary Committee met to further discuss the 50th anniversary weekend in

Beesd, September 6th, 7th and 8th.

45 participants have already registered for the Anniversary weekend. Among them are six foreign

guests.

As a Dutch member, you can register and pay via the website, but this is not possible for foreign

guests; After online registration you will be sent an invoice and after payment is received your your

registration will be finalised. We will hand out flyers and an anniversary sticker at a number of

earlier events.

Anniversary weekend September 6th, 7th and 8th:

We will pitch our tents at Camping Betuwestrand in Beesd. Contrary to previous reports, dogs are

allowed on the event venue.

The site will be open to us from Friday afternoon, September 6th, 2 p.m.

Tents, caravans and campers can be pitched in the field.

On Saturday September 7th we will embark on the historic run: Back to '74.

Our former treasurer Theo Andriessen has reconstructed the 1974 inaugural club-run for us. There

will be some new roundabouts and road layouts to negotiate, but it will be possible to follow our

historic route in a triangle from Beesd to Vianen and Gorinchem.

After the BBQ we’ll meet for a relaxing evening with music and to reminisce about old times. We

will also present the Anniversary Book.

There will another activity on Sunday: we are still working on that!
